Not turning up to an 8am zoom meeting doesn't look like such a gamble now, does it, Karen?
For those of us who are beginning to experience a little COVID-induced cabin fever, there may be a solution that can offer a change of scenery on the horizon: Las Vegas hotels are now offering specialised packages as a work-from-home alternative.
Naturally, for those of us WFH-ing in Australia, it’s clearly not currently an option. But, you have to admit, the concept does have some merit. The city that never sleeps certainly won’t be taking issue with your weird WFH hours, there’ll be no shortage of snacks (hello, hot and cold running buffets) and not showing up to an 8am zoom meeting certainly isn’t going to look like much of a gamble in the gambling capital of the world.
You could be living the laptop life at MGM Resorts, which just announced a new package called Viva Las Office, in an attempt to entice nine-to-fivers into their hotels for a little out-of-office and chill.
You have to admit, the Bellagio sounds a lot more enticing than the boardroom (or the home-office) and some of the inclusions (like poolside massages) are things which – in our humble opinion – really should be part of the daily grind anyway.
Surprisingly, the package prices aren’t as sky high as you might expect. The Associate, for example, will set you back around $102.00 USD per night, but The Executive (inclusive of poolside massage) runs at a slightly steeper $400.00 USD per night.
You can check out some of the lavish WFH inclusions at https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/offers/viva-las-office.html.
