Lufthansa is truly in a class of its own when it comes to high flying.

Spacious and personal space are not terms that you often associate with flying commercial airlines. But Lufthansa is here to redefine how we perceive travel with the launch of its new long-haul Allegris offering. The German flag-carrier has revealed the First Class Suite Plus, which is setting a new standard in comfort.

Each of the First Class suites features ceiling-high walls, an entirely closable door, large table and two wide seats that can be combined into a comfortable double bed. Within the private room, guests can connect their own mobile device to the entertainment system and warm or cool the nearly one-metre-wide seats to suit their needs. There’s plenty of storage space too, including a suite wardrobe that will allow travellers to comfortably change in the privacy of their room. And bid adieu to tray tables, gourmet meals are served on a large table within the suite at a time that suits the guest.

You don’t have to travel First Class to experience the benefits of Lufthansa Allegris long-haul product on Airbus A350s (which is also the plane that Qantas will launch its new First and Business Class offering). Business Class guests will also be getting their own suite thanks to chest-high walls and sliding doors. Those seated in the first rows will relish the extended personal space, a 27-inch monitor and ample storage, boasting its own wardrobe and minibar. Two suites can also be connected for guests travelling together.

While privacy has clearly been prioritised in the new offering, so has choice. Guests can choose between six additional seat options to meet their needs. Do you need the extra leg room when lying flat? There’s seats that are extra-long, measuring 2.2 metres. Plan to catch up on some work during the flight? There’s Business Class seats that come with an additional work area.

In First and Business class small adjustments like wireless charging, 4K HD screens, noise-cancelling headphones, seats that feature a shoulder sink-in for side sleepers and a tablet-sized control unit to control lighting, heating/cooling and entertainment functions, make the experience all the more seamless. Lufthansa is truly in a class of its own when it comes to high flying.

The First Class suites will be introduced in 2024 on the newly delivered Airbus A350s. For more information, visit lufthansa.com/au
