This will be only the second Monopoly theme park in the world, after Hong Kong.

We officially have an opening date for the long-awaited Monopoly Dreams indoor theme park based on Monopoly, the board game that has divided families for years.

This fully immersive interactive experience will open October 21, 2023, and occupy a 1650-square-metre space at Melbourne Central. Inside Monopoly Dreams there will be two sections: Monopoly City and Monopoly Mansion, with 15 attractions across both.

If you’re a fan of collecting all the Utility places on the board, then you’ll be keen to take a ride in the Monopoly Railway in the 4D theatre. Or generate energy on a bike at the Electric Company. And at Water Works there’ll be a projection game. There’s also a Bank, which will be filled with flying Monopoly money to try and grab. The Monopoly money you win can be used to purchase items at the onsite Monopoly cafe and merchandise store.

While details are yet to be finalised, this is already sounding like much more fun than sitting down and playing Monopoly with your family.

Monopoly Dreams will open at Melbourne Central on October 21, 2023. Tickets starts from $38.50. You can book now via, monopolydreams.com.au
