You’ll find us by the pool.

We’ve got some good news for you. After undergoing a multi-million-dollar refurbishment, Motel Molly is officially opening its shiny new retro doors to guests on December 1, just in time for summer.

Located in the NSW South Coast town of Mollymook – a three hour drive from Sydney – this 16-room hotel is coastal town charm with a curated twist.

The goal of the refurb was simple: maintain the nostalgia and warmth of a seaside motel, while also creating something new and exciting for guests to experience.

The new and exciting can be found in a mix of generously-sized three, two, and one-bedroom apartments and several king suites. Think handmade tiles from Byron Bay’s Jatana Interiors, Smeg appliances from their retro ’50s Aesthetics Line, sunken Moroccan-style baths, Le Labo Santal 26 scented candles, room sprays and bathroom amenities, and handmade Moroccan ceramics and textiles by Lrnce. If you’re unsure of the latter, it’s a Marrakech-based lifestyle brand by Belgium artist Laurence Leenaer, that has a distinct style and cult-like following around the world.

The outdoor pool area has also been given a makeover, providing the perfect spot for soaking in the sun.

You should also take full advantage of the motel’s superior location. Mere metres from the sandy shores of Mollymook Beach, guests can travel back and forth between the motel and beach with ease.

For the nights you want to stay in, there’s an outdoor barbecue area you can use to cook locally sourced seafood, overlooking the swimming pool.

There’s also a mini bar stocked with locally-sourced wine from Cupitt’s Estate, Stone & Wood, beer from Byron Bay Brewery, Moet & Chandon bubbles and more.

We have a strong feeling road trippers are going to go nuts for this one.
