Inject a little fun into your new year health resolutions at these hotels.

It’s said that you should begin the new year as you wish to continue it. And, if fun is something you hope to fill your year with, this wellness plan is one that might just tickle your fancy.

If the idea of going cold turkey (pardon the festive pun), after the merriment of Christmas, (and hitting the ‘new year, new you’ regime with a lacklustre diet of green smoothies and little else) sends you into a world of dread, QT Hotels & Resorts has a realistic alternative to wellness,

In 2019, QT Hotels across the nation will giving guests a choice of energising drinks and activities – the kind that don’t feel like a boring compromise to living your best life.

Green Bars will see the hotels’ mixologists create green cocktails filled with superfood ingredients – like the Cucumber Dill Collins in which dill-infused Tanqueray Gin, fresh lime, cucumber juice is topped with sparkling water. Then, there’s the Spirulina Sour, which blends together organic quinoa vodka, Charlie’s Spirulina Fruit Mix, chickpea water and fresh lemon. Lastly, try the Green Machine Margarita, which joins together jalapeno-infused Espolon Tequila, kale juice and organic blue agave. It’s about the balance, right?

Sample the green cocktails at the Rooftop of QT Melbourne and QT Perth, QT Sydney’s Gilt Lounge and Gowings Bar, and Stingray Lounge at QT Gold Coast.

For Sydney siders, the hotel group will also be calling on the assistance of Retrosweat’s lycra-clad queen Shannon Dooley to get guests moving with some good old-fashioned ’80s-inspired aerobics. Think Jane Fonda for the present day – leotards a must. Check out the QT website, to see what wellness activities are happening in other locations across the country too.
