Wild ponies, puffins and moon-like landscapes. Need we say more?
Some compare it to the moon, others insist it’s incomparable, but one thing’s for sure: Iceland’s rugged landscape is unforgettable. Now, a new hotel is opening in its incredible Ossura Valley – giving travellers yet another reason to visit this unique destination.
Six Senses Hotels has announced the arrival of its ‘Six Senses Ossura Valley, Iceland’, set to open in 2022. Give you plenty of time to start planning that life-affirming trip.
Here, nature, wellness and adventure will be the order of the day, while refined dining, comfort and – with any luck – Aurora-Borealis-viewing will become the nighttime focusses.
The setting for the new accommodation? 4,000 acres of privately owned land, adjacent to the Lon Lagoon that is home to abundant wildlife. The 70-room resort will feature private cottages, and will be built using renewable and locally sourced materials – with the aim of treading as lightly as possible on this majestic land.
All day dining will see local seafood delicacies on offer, and a lively bar will keep guests warm.
