Summer in Sydney just got a little hotter. This December, the much-anticipated InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach will welcome its first guests. The beachside hotel will unveil its shiny new look, with 198 guest rooms given a complete makeover each of which oozes beachfront luxury.
Guests at InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach can easily enjoy the best of what Sydney has to offer: city and beach. Just steps from the sand and only 20 minutes from the city, accessing the best of both worlds in the NSW capital has never been easier.
Making the most of its stunning waterside location, premium suites feature a seamless indoor-outdoor design that includes an outdoor bath and stunning views of the coastline. After the hotel opens its rooms to guests in December, it’ll then shift its focus to March 2026, when the leisure deck featuring the ocean-facing infinity edge swimming pool, poolside bar, outdoor event terrace and indulgent day spa will be revealed.
In the meantime, guests and the public will be able to check out the new dining additions opening in December, Shutters Restaurant & Bar and Rick Stein at Coogee Beach. Shutters is where modern Australian cuisine meets Mediterranean influences, and Rick Stein at Coogee Beach will become the chef’s Australian flagship restaurant. Rick will bring his ‘fresh seafood, simply prepared’ ethos he’s become renowned for to Sydney’s East this summer.
