Puppies are coming to Sydney Airport to help you feel good about flying

They're fully trained and ready to be cuddled.

In an Australian first, every week, twice a week, the American Airlines check-in at Sydney Airport’s International Terminal will have Assistance Dogs on hand to allow nervous flyers a heartwarming pre-flight cuddle or pat.

Make no mistake, though adorable, these pups are fully qualified Assistance Dogs and are part of an innovative American Airlines and Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) partnership. The program is aptly named emBark.

Richard Lord, the CEO of ADA, has said, ‘Our remarkable Assistance Dogs provide improved health, confidence and independence to individuals who need them.’

The aim is to ensure passengers, especially those with physical disabilities, PTSD and autism are supported during their journeys.
