This renowned Sydney Chef is headed for Malaysia

And he's taking his fine-dining version 'The Bunnings Hotdog' with him.

Malaysia is getting one of Sydney’s chefs – but fortunately, only for a short time. Chef Nelly Robinson will be taking part in resort The Datai Langkawi’s Chef Series from 30 August to 1 September 2019.

As part of the Chef Series, Robinson will be bringing a unique collection of dishes to Langkawi. The London-born chef, who began his career at the age of 14 at the a Michelin-starred restaurant in England, is the talent behind nel. restaurant in Sydney, where he has garnered numerous awards.

Over three days, Robinson will introduce his culinary style to resort guests, who’ll enjoy a storytelling menu that harks back to Robinson’s childhood.

Under-the-sea

He’ll also be delivering a complimentary cooking demo at the resort’s cooking school, The Dapur. Sidewood Wines from the Adelaide Hills will be on hand as part of the collaboration, too.

Interestingly, Robinson has recreated his own version of the ‘Bunnings Hotdog’ (pictured below) for resort guests to sample. We’re not sure where the onions would sit in this iteration.
