Kakadu National Park

This is certainly no fast food.

From 10–19 May 2019, Kakadu National Park will be filled with tempting fare, cultural activity and hungry food-loving travellers when A Taste of Kakadu sets up camp amid the natural beauty of this World Heritage-listed site.

Taste of KakaduCelebrating the flavours of Indigenous foods, the ten-day festival is now in its third year. During the festival, visitors can taste the foods that have nurtured the world’s oldest living culture – for more than 65,000 years.

Throughout the ten days, cooking demonstrations, pop-up dinners, bush tucker feasts, guided walks and other cultural activities will take place. Talented Indigenous food practitioners will work with traditional owners to serve up delicious bush foods. Expect Kakadu plums a’plenty.

This year’s festival also marks Kakadu National Park’s 40th anniversary – another cause for celebration.
