Here, you can sleep inside a jar of the good stuff.
Whether you enjoy your Vegemite for breakfast, lunch and tea, or you’re a Marmite devotee and can’t stand the iconic Australian spread, everyone knows at least one happy Vegemite who’d gladly eat it by the spoonful. Now, a Vegemite Villa has popped up in the Australian countryside, offering a chance to stay overnight inside a giant jar.
Booking.com’s four-metre-high and two-metre-wide Vegemite Villa has arrived in Brogo, New South Wales, and sleeps two guests at a time – for two nights. Three builders, two sculptors, a scenic artist and printing team came together to create the 900kg stay.
From the outside, the villa resembles an oversized Vegemite jar, while the inside comes complete with a bed that looks like a giant piece of toast swathed in Vegemite. Vegemite eye masks, slippers, socks and an alarm clock are also on hand.
At just $89.00 per night, the Vegemite Villa is available for just two nights: December 6–7. For more information, visit booking.com/hotel/au/vegemite-villa.
