Free money? Everybody loves that!
In news set to bring a smile to your dial this week, the Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program has returned.
Originally launched back in March, the incentive program allows Victorians to claim 25 per cent cash back when they spend $40 or more on dining and events across the state.
In what may just be perfect school holiday timing, the program offers up a host of ways to keep the kids occupied, covering purchases at cinemas, museums, zoos and theme parks, as well as live performances, concerts and festivals.
For foodies, your cafe, restaurant and takeaway bills are eligible for cash back, plus those at bars, pubs, clubs, wineries, breweries and distilleries – but food must be purchased.

Individuals with an Australian bank account are eligible to claim up to a total of $125 – and you can make multiple claims until you reach that total, so there’s no need to blow it all on one big meal.
There are no restrictions on timing or location, you can make purchases anywhere in Victoria, on any day of the week.
Claiming your cash is easy, all you need is a receipt and your bank account details.
The Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program is set to end on Friday 16 December 2022 – or until the $25m fund is exhausted – so you’d better book that table ASAP.
You can find the full Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program guidelines, and instructions on how to make your claims, on the Victorian Government website.
