Gamers, pack your bags and your gaming chair back supports. Atari Hotels are now a thing and the first one is set to open in Phoenix, Arizona this autumn.

Touted as a ‘unique lodging experience’ the video game-themed destinations will serve as more than simply a place to sleep.

Announced this week, the hotels are set to feature immersive experiences for gamers of all ages and gaming abilities – including the latest in virtual and AR technology. The hotels will also house esports studios and venues to accommodate gaming events.

Following the opening of the Phoenix site, Austin, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Jose and Seattle will be next in line to gain an Atari Hotel in close succession. Start planning your travels accordingly and have your snacks at the ready.
