Hate delays? This is the airline to book with.
Unfortunately, Aussie passengers have become accustomed to flight delays and cancellations. We’ve even seen the complete closure of airlines that have left passengers stranded. But while airlines are finally getting back to performing at a more reliable standard and the airline leading the pack is Virgin Australia.
The Aussie airline recorded the best on-time performance and highest completion rates of any major Australian airline for the month of April. Results also showed that not only is it best performing but also a major improvement for the airline year-on-year, going from a 55% and to a 82.6% on-time performance rate.

Virgin Australia’s completion rate for flights also saw a nice boost from 92% to just over 98%. In April, the airline only cancelled 1.72% of its scheduled sectors.
Of course, while performance wasn’t always up to scratch on the ground post-pandemic, the service in the sky with Virgin Australia never faltered. The airline was recently awarded Best Cabin Crew for the sixth consecutive year against 350 airlines around the world. So not only is it likely your flight will take off on time, you’re also guaranteed to have a pleasant inflight experience.
