And there's no shortage of ice on hand.
Good news for people who love cold climates and warming spirits. This month, Iceland’s Reyka Vodka is opening a pop-up vodka bar, for just five days, on Langjökull Glacier.
The remote vodka bar will be set up approximately 2,000km north inside the Article Circle. From 16–20 October, vodka enthusiasts can sign up on the company’s website for a chance to be selected for an off-road adventure through the snowscape – after first facing an interview process.
On the road, travellers will get to soak their cold bones in geothermal hot springs, before visiting the bar for a ‘Puffin Collins’, Reyka Vodka’s signature cocktail.
The company has chosen the location because it’s where the vodka’s water is sourced, which runs through a 4,000-year-old lava field.
