It's a dog-eat-plant world.
Whether you’re a vegan for the season (Veganuary), in it for the long run, or just like being served first on a flight, plant-based diners will be pleased to hear there’s an airline that’s served up more than 20,000 vegan meals across all classes during January.
Since introducing vegan meals in April 2018, Emirates passengers have consumed 18,000 kg worth of nut-based ‘cheese’.

On Emirates flights, vegan meals are the third most requested ‘special’ meals in economy class. The airline’s kitchen, where nutritionists and chefs are put to work designing flight-ready meals, has devised more than 170 vegan recipes to cater to the growing demand from passengers.
Popular dishes have included mushroom ravioli, vegetable tagines, lentil ragout and vegan desserts: think key lime parfait and chia seed puddings.
