Braving Time is a queer exhibition made by the community, for the community. The artists represented in the piece celebrate the diverse voices of LGBTQIA+ people in contemporary Australia, reflecting a community that isn’t always visible. The conversation starting and thought envoking installation will be on display for free at NAS Galleries @ The National Art School. Mondays to Saturdays at 10am to 5pm. Fleurs De Villes is making its grand return to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney for their global launch of Fleurs De Villes PRIDE. Fifteen fresh and floral mannequins are set to pay homage to inspirational members and allies of Australia’s LGBTQIA+ community. They’ll be out and proud at The Calyx, each created by some of Sydney’s leading floral artists. PRIDE is a 10-day celebration of joy and inclusivity, showcasing Australia’s floral talent for all visitors to see. Grab your tickets now at botanicgardens.org.au/pride. Mardi Gras’ inaugural event returns to officially kick off festivities. Held in the iconic Victoria Park, MG Fair Day is a party in itself. Visit various different stalls, soak in the sun, and support the organisations (both big and small) playing a role in this year’s Mardi Gras parade. There will be food trucks, various freebies, and tunes to boogie on down to. This pup and family-friendly event will run from 10am to 9pm.

The legendary Sydney march is turning 45 this year (it doesn’t look a day over 30), and plans on celebrating in style! The parade is returning to its Oxford Street roots after two successful runs at the SCG. Relish in all the glitter and lights as businesses, community groups, and collectives alike come together for one big celebration of love. The ‘Gather, Dream, Amplify’ themed festivities are set to run from 6pm to 11pm. Sydney Opera House is set to host a rainbow explosion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait LGBTQIA+SB artistry, across a two-hour concert starring Jessica Mauboy, Electric Fields and Casey Donovan and hosted by Steven ‘Faboriginal’ Oliver. From traditional song, to comedy, pop and ballroom, this concert is going to be deadly. The event will kick off at 7pm at Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.

The fabALICE Festival is a fabulous showcase of drag, cabaret, and family-friendly events – each celebrating the inclusivity and diversity of the Red Centre.
