Tickets are now on sale for Perth’s first ever chicken and beer festival. The long weekend flavour fest kicks off on Friday April 23rd at Subiaco Market Square, serving up every kind of finger lickin’ chicken on the planet, from New Orleans and Korean Fried Chicken to Indian, Brazilian and Jamaican flavours. All dishes will be cooked fresh by Perth establishments, with plenty of cold, frosty libations from local craft breweries to wash it all down. There’s also buskers, rides and carnival games aplenty. Call of the wild
Curator of off-the-grid nature experiences, Unyoked is offering a writer’s residency, giving promising new writers the space and time to let their imaginations run wild. Unyoked will select four wilderness residents for the initiative, who will receive regular, no-strings attached access to Unyoked cabins for the next six months. They’re also inviting up and coming writers to submit nature-inspired poems and short essays to be considered for publication in their first Unyoked Anthology.
