Variety revealed that the third season of The White Lotus will be filmed in Thailand and HBO have just confirmed with releasing a six second teaser trailer that states: what happens in Thailand, stays in Thailand. Both Season 1 and Season 2 of White Lotus were filmed at Four Seasons resorts. The first season took place at the Four Seasons Maui in Hawaii and the second at San Domenico, a Four Seasons Hotel in Taormina, in Italy. So, it’s almost guaranteed that the series would continue its successful run with Four Seasons. The luxury hotel group has resorts in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and the Golden Triangle. If Mike White, The White Lotus director, follows in the footsteps of the previous locations and opts for a seaside location, the most obvious choice is Four Seasons Koh Samui. The new season will be shot at various locations, which is believed to also include the Anantara Mai Khao Villas Phuket, which is coincidentally booked out for several weeks at the same time the series is being filmed. Along with the January 2024 casting announcement, HBO revealed that The White Lotus began production “in and around Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok” in February 2024 and has wrapped. From the most recent trailers, it looks like majority of the season will be based at Koh Samui.
