The Butter Ramen Club is back with new bowls by Bella Brutta, Ester and more

Ramen fanatics rejoice – one of Sydney’s favourite fried chicken joints is bringing back its ever-popular Ramen Club, just in time for the winter cold snap.

Tonkotsu, shoyu, miso, tantanmen – there’s a whole wide world of ramen to enjoy. And Butter in Sydney is about to make that world even bigger.

For the next six months, Butter is bringing back its Ramen Club – an event series that has reached near cult-status. For its 2024 iteration, you can expect plenty of inventive takes on the soupy staple from some heavy hitters in the Sydney hospo scene. Think chefs from Applejack group, Bella Brutta, Poly and more – and, of course, Butter’s own Executive Chef Julian Cincotta with his famed Butter fried chicken ramen.

For the first collab off the rank, Applejack’s Patrick Freisen is serving up a tonkotsu-style broth with thick cut noodles, Rafi’s yellowfin tuna with tomato, tahini, fragrant chilli oil and toasted nori.

Book in for a bowlful for American Express delicious. Month Out for just $28, or make it a combo with a Chivas Regal spiked iced maple green tea with aloe jelly for $40.

Next up in the series will be Umeburger’s Tori Miso Ramen, which brings together toasted corn, black onion oil, thick cut noodles and a fried chicken tender in a tonkotsu chicken broth with miso and sesame tare.

Spill soup down your front? Butter is also slinging a limited number of Slurpeme shirts that you can pick up in store.
