Tuna cutting
Guests were treated to a maguro kaitai (tuna cutting) display, by chef Shimpei Hatanaka.
Nose-to-tail menu
The team from Saké created a wide-ranging Japanese menu, featuring everything from fresh sashimi to classic yakitori.
Sushi course
The sushi and sashimi portions of the menu included a mix of tuna belly, semi-fatty tuna and marinated red meat.
Fresh fried
The sashimi course was followed by crisp cartilage karaage with shichimi and yuzu mayo.
Yum yakitori
Yakitori selections featured yuzu pepper wings and sansho pepper skin, thigh fillets with Japanese plum teriyaki and giblets with garlic yuzu soy.
Feature finish
Guests were treated to an off-menu dessert created especially for the event.
