There's a new way to enjoy your favourite sweet treat.
Byron Bay’s beloved Brookie’s Distillery has once again pushed the boundaries of craft gin production with their latest creation, the Turkish Delight Gin. This tasty number is a collaboration between Brookie’s and Byron Bay restaurant, the Smoking Camel.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this exquisite gin captures the essence of a beloved Middle Eastern confection. It is a delightful marriage of traditional gin botanicals and carefully selected ingredients that conjure the unmistakable flavours of Turkish delight.
At the heart of your new summer favourite is an infusion of rose and orange blossom with Meyer lemon for zesty brightness, and the more subtle addition of white aspen (which tastes like lemon cheesecake) provides depth of flavour. The white aspen is also harvested from the Cape Byron adjoining fruit forest, classic Byron.

In true Brookie’s fashion, there’s something a little bit different about the not-so-secret ingredient, native raspberries, which give the gin its pretty blush pink colour. The Smoking Camel, which recently opened in Byron Bay in July of this year, will also feature the gin in one of their signature drinks, aptly named the ‘Turkish Delight’. The cocktail combines Brookie’s Turkish Delight Gin, pomegranate, cranberry, rose, lime and foam to evoke the sweet flavours of the Middle East and add a Byron Bay beachy touch with the foam.
Brookie’s Turkish Delight Gin is priced at $74.99 for a 700ml bottle from capebyrondistillery.com.
