Muy caliente!
Your favourite pun-slingers are at it again, with the announcement of two new tinned cocktails from the Continental crew. And this time, we’re headed south of the border.
Introducing: The Mexi-cans – a spicy and classic margarita in a can.
With a gorgeous signature label by long-time collaborators, Tork Design, the Mexi-cans join the pun-tastic lineup of the Ameri’can’o, the Mar-tinny, the Espresso Mar-tinny, and the… Watermelon Negroni (not as funny but just as delicious).
A blend of Tromba Blanco tequila, Pierre Ferrand orange curacao, sugar, and super juice – a citrus peel cordial – the margs are batched and canned on-site at the Australia Street deli, the beating heart of the upcoming Porteno precinct taking over the strip in the Sydney suburb of Newtown.

Acting as satellite venues, three new venues will occupy adjacent buildings to the Continental.
The first of the three new venues is Flora – a plant-based, all-day dining venue championing local produce, and coffee by former neighbours 212 Blu. Natural wine and Australian spirits will make up the drinks list.
Next door will be Mister Grosso – a seafood bar showcasing all the fruits of the sea with drinks fit for a fisherman. We’re hoping there’s going to be rum in these here waters.
Finally, occupying the former 212 Blu space, comes Osteria Mucca. Family recipes, handmade pasta, charcoal meats and rare small-production wines from cult Italian producers will be the stars of the show here.
Venues and cocktails ‘coming soon’.
