All the goodness of Doritos in one tangy drink.
In a truly chaotic move, Doritos has stepped into the booze game by releasing a nacho cheese flavoured spirit. Yep.
In collaboration with Empirical, a Danish company that specialises in custom distillates, Doritos nacho cheese spirit “opens with umami and tangy aromas of nacho cheese, moving to the deeper, corn-forward flavours of the chip to finish on a soft salty note,” the company said.
The signature tangy chip flavour has been harnessed with the use of vacuum distillation technology, a more gentle distilling technique than traditional distillation in order to retain the nacho complexity.

No one asked for this, yet here we are.
The company recommends using the Doritos x Empirical spirit as a base for a Bloody Mary, a Margarita, or whatever crazy concoction you can think of.
This is the latest gimmick from Doritos, who released a very limited run of coriander flavoured corn chips this year – to mixed review.
The Doritos x Empirical nacho cheese spirit is not available in Australia (yet) but will retail at $65USD for a 750ml bottle.
