Put on your best brogues and cardigan.
Check in to your most ~ aesthetic ~ life with Maybe Sammy’s new The Grand Budapest Hotel cocktail series, inspired by Wes Anderson’s 2014 comedy-drama.
Dubbed ‘The Grand Maybe Sammy Hotel’, the 2024 menu will be available from April 3, as the team lean into ‘the hotel bar minus the hotel’ reputation they’ve garnered since opening back in 2019.
The menu, reminiscent of a Monopoly – style game board, unfolds to reveal four categories – Lobby, Dining Room, Bedroom and Spa – with the cocktails aligning to the themes.

Maybe Sammy co-founder Stefano Catino says of the kitschy cocktails, “We only release one new menu a year, so we want the new collection of cocktails to be technically better and even more playful than the last and The Grand Maybe Sammy Hotel is spectacular.”
Catino continues, “This menu has glamour and innovation, and it will be a lot of fun for our bartenders to present and guests to enjoy.”
Cocktails on the list nod to memorable moments in The Grand Budapest Hotel, like the Airport Chauffeur, a leather-scented Champagne spritz designed to elicit being handed a glass of bubbles in a limousine – which is totally something we’ve smelled before.

Or perhaps you’ll be reminded of the pink and rouge hues of the fictional hotel’s lobby when you see the Check-In – a blend of gin, fig, hibiscus and soda water.
Never miss your train again when you order the Wake-Up Call, which will put some pep in your step thanks to plenty of coffee liquor and a European amount of foam.
Maybe Sammy is located at 115 Harrington Street, the Rocks. For more details head to the Maybe Sammy website.
