The national festival for the beer fiend is back

Better just make that one.
Better just make that one.

And it’s coming to a city near you very soon.

Despite the burgeoning presence of skin contact wines and the like, the Australian beer drinker prevails. As if to prove it is the return of Beerfest for another year, a celebration of brew drinkers that is now in its 10th year.

Beerfest is in fact Australia’s longest running, original beer festival. This summer it will return with four separate events around the country; kicking off in Perth, running through Melbourne and Sydney before finally bowing out in Launceston.

Beerfest will specifically take place over the course of three days in Fremantle Esplanade from November 9-11. It will then settle into Melbourne’s Moonee Valley Racecourse November 24,  Sydney’s Centennial Park on December 1, arriving just in time for New Year’s Eve at Launceston’s Royal Park.

This will be the first year Sydney has hosted BeerFest and will also mark the biggest musical line-up for the event, which will including Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson, Sneaky Sound System, and comedian Matt Okine.

As for the drinking to be done, Beerfest will offer guests access to more than 300 craft beers and 200 producers. There won’t just be beers available, but wine, cider, cocktails, and collaborations.

Of course there will be plenty of beer on hand to try. Provided by the likes of Young Henrys, Wicked Elf Beers, Modus Operandi Brewing, Two Birds Brewing, Feral Brewing Company, and Little Creatures among others. There will also be masterclasses, tastings, and educational opportunities aplenty for attendees.

Tickets to Beerfest 2018 can be purchased from August 7 online.
