Byron Bay brewery Stone & Wood has launched the country’s first “hydration ale”, which comes packed with essential vitamins and minerals just like a boozy Hydralyte.

Called Reinvigam8, the low-alcohol gose is brewed with oranges and pale malts with the addition of sodium, potassium, chloride and magnesium. The limited-edition brew is also caffeine-free and vegan.

Despite the added wellness ingredients, Stone & Wood emphasize that the beer has not actually been tested or shown to rehydrate, so we wouldn’t recommend skulling one before a marathon, nor should you skip that bottle of water before bed.
