If you thought espresso martinis on tap were revolutionary, hold onto your seat. Kahlúa have taken cocktail wizardry to the next level and created a range of espresso martinis, in a can. For those not bold enough to step behind the bar and try their hand at mixology, this one’s for you.
Gone are the days when this beloved cocktail was confined to dimly lit bars and summertime soirees on rooftops, it can now be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home, or wherever you’d like for that matter. Colin Kavanagh, VP of Marketing for Kahlúa stated that the product was born out of a booming coffee culture and increasing desire to recreate the cocktail experience at home, the finished product seamlessly blends the two.
The canned concoction contains the perfect amount of each ingredient, featuring roasted coffee, Kahlúa liqueur and a dash of grain vodka. No need for shaking, stirring or straining, all it takes is a little patience (20 seconds to be exact). Simply pop the lid, pour, and wait 20 seconds for the signature crema to appear on top and voila, an espresso martini appears in it’s signature, caffeinated glory.
Wondering what kind of secret sorcery is responsible for the creamy top layer? Kahlúa have created a nifty gadget known as the nitrogen widget, which ensures bubbles rise to the surface as soon as the can is opened to recreate the beloved foam. They really have thought of everything.
