As much as we love socialising at Australia’s bevy of amazing watering holes, there’s no bar quite so comfortable as your couch. To the joy of hermits everywhere, there’s a new delivery service that indulges in our passion for hibernation and a drink at home – it’s called Tipple.

The Melbourne-born app is a delivery service solely focused on (you guessed it) alcohol. Beer, wine and spirits are available for purchase, which will be sent to your door within an hour of ordering. Currently Tipple is available between the hours of 3.00-9.00pm each day, with a minimum spend of $30 for users.

The duo behind the handy tool are brothers Shane and Ryan Barrington. While initially a Melbourne-only offering, Tipple has since expanded to Sydney, including 120 central suburbs surrounding both capitals they have dubbed a ‘drop zone’. But those who sit just outside those borders, or those states, need not fret just yet as expansion is already in the works.
