Move over Moccona.

No longer just a last resort, instant coffee is experiencing a new wave of popularity in lockdown and, thankfully, this time around there are more options than just the Moccona.

In recent weeks, Vittoria has launched its first-ever range of freeze-dried instant coffee and coffee bags, based on four of their signature blends. The new brew is already proving a huge success with weary-eyed shoppers. Despite only being on shelves for a short time, the product is currently the number two brand in the 100g Freeze Dried segment in Woolworths supermarkets nationwide.

“Australians are spending more time at home than ever before, but this hasn’t translated into having more free time (and so) we set out to create new, easier coffee experiences for all our customers,” Vittoria Coffee’s managing director, Rolando Schirato said.

“These new products deliver on the distinctive Vittoria taste and offer our customers unrivalled convenience to enjoy our legendary 100 per cent Arabica blends.”

Both premium and standard instant coffee has shot up 48% and 47% respectively since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Nielsen Consumer Insight.

Vittoria Coffee Freeze Dried Instant Coffee ($10) and Coffee Bags ($9.65) are currently available to purchase from Woolworths supermarkets nationwide.
