If, like us, you spend your time counting down until Christmas, you’ll know that there are exactly 56 days until December 25. Factor in the minimum four weeks required for appropriate carol playing (negative comments about Mariah will be deleted) and Christmas cake making, and the big day is practically here already. Oh, joy to the world.

While we could wax lyrical about our love for the season, there’s one thing we love even more than the big man himself – gin. So when we discovered a Scottish distillery has created a candy cane-flavoured version, we knew it was truly a Christmas miracle come early.

Clocking in at 40% ABV and distilled by Eden Mill in Scotland’s historic town of St Andrews, the gin is infused with the classic festive flavour of peppermint and is said to be sweet on the palate, while the addition of bilberries and hibiscus lends the tipple its bright red hue.

Although we could think of a number of ways to enjoy the gin (candy cane gin slushies?!), the distillery recommends simply pairing it with your favourite tonic and garnished with a candy cane.
