Four Pillars has created a martini in a bottle, so all you need to do is pour

Who needs mixers anyway?

It’s been a long day. You’re itching for a cocktail. You slip out of your shoes, pad into the kitchen, open the fridge door and peer in. No mixers. Darn it, no cocktail.

The boffins over at Four Pillars don’t want you to ever feel that way again. So they bottled an entire martini, and it’s ready and waiting for you to drink.

Four Pillars’ new Double Gin Martini revolves around two of the distillery’s iconic gins, their savoury Olive Leaf Gin, and citrus-infused Fresh Yuzu Gin.

In place of a standard vermouth, they’ve included a bright, aromatic Lillet Blanc and a textural Toji Daiginjo Saké, and finished the whole lot off with Yuzu bitters and a sprinkle of saline solution.

It’s mixed and ready to pour (no stirring required) and is best served ice-cold – so you should probably pop a bottle in the freezer for emergencies.

The only thing left to do is garnish your glass with a cute twist of lemon peel, or a skewered olive. Or maybe even 10 olives, it’s your house, go wild.

Four Pillars Double Gin Martini will be available from Tuesday, October 4, at the Four Pillars Healesville Distillery, Surry Hills Laboratory, and fourpillarsgin.com for $60.
