Aldi's famous Hot Cross Bun Gin is back so hop to it

Hot Cross Bun Liqueur

Because Easter is for grown-ups too.

Easter just got a little bit spicy with the arrival of Aldi’s new Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur. Coming in hot from Wednesday, March 27 the spiced gin liqueur distilled by Manchester Drinks Co. – infused with nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger – boasts all the warming flavours of a hot cross bun in liquid form.

Sure, it may not be quite as appropriate to consume by the six-pack for breakfast as its original bread-based counterpart, but this rich, fruity drop is a delicious match for soda and sparkling wine, or served splashed over a handful of ice cubes in a glass – best enjoyed as you slip into your post-Easter-feast slump on the sofa come the day’s end. Better yet, it’s a dessert you won’t have to leave room for, because liquid doesn’t count, right? Right?

Don your Easter bonnet, put out your basket or nest in time for the big ‘ol bunny’s annual visit and hop on down to Aldi, pronto, because at $24.99 for 500ml, this small-batch, easy-drinking tipple will not be hanging around long.
