Hot damn!
There’s a hot new spirit in town. Aldi has just released its first-ever chilli gin and we are all fired up for it.
Made in Scotland, the new McQueen Smokey Chilli Gin ($44.99) is infused with chipotle and smoked chilli peppers, along with lime and Bulgarian juniper. Its subtle spice and savoury smoke are balanced with notes of coriander, juniper, and the sweetness of citrus.
It’s part of a new Gin Festival Range, with seven new gins set to hit Aldi shelves this Wednesday, July 27.
Also coming in hot is the Haysmith’s Elements Fire Gin ($34.99), which mixes the warmth of chilli with the perfume of pink and Sichuan peppercorns.
Other gins in the range include Eden Mill Scottish Dry Gin ($42.99), Haysmith’s Elements Air Gin 500ml ($34.99), Haysmith’s Element Earth Gin 500ml ($34.99), Copeland Raspberry & Mint Gin ($44.99) and Copeland Rhuberry Gin ($44.99).

Paul Handley, Spirits and Beer Buying Director for ALDI Australia says: “Gin and tonics are a classic cocktail that we know Aussies love. These new flavours bring a real variety and a twist on the classic drink, and we are excited to bring this range of craft gin from around the world to our customers at great prices. By offering this exclusive gin range through our limited time only ‘Gin Festival’ Special Buys, we will be able to provide even more new and exciting products for our shoppers to enjoy, as well as bringing back customer favourites.”
The new Gin Festival Range will be available from Aldi supermarkets nationwide from Wednesday, July 27 as part of its Special Buys.
