Australian temperatures during Christmas time are hardly eggnog-friendly. But gin and tonic? Now that’s a different story.

The spirit is about to become the festive season tipple of choice thanks to the Christmas Gin Market – a new event that comes courtesy of award-winning bar The Barber Shop. The Sydney CBD drinking space is a gin specialist, and as such, will be offering up a plethora of different takes on the juniper juice over Thursday the 7th and the 14th of December.

It’s a celebration of gin to be hosted at The Barber Shop HQ in the CBD that is free to the public and will last between 6 and 9pm. There you can expect to find plenty of rare and intriguing takes on gin, including a limited edition Christmas special courtesy of Four Pillars. There will of course also be a handful of gin-filled treats from marmalade to chocolate to enjoy and distillers on hand to guide you through the world of juniper.
