Buying limits no longer apply to beer, wine and spirits.
Bottle shops across the country have removed their buying limits on booze as of today.
Shoppers are no longer restricted to buying just two slabs of beer, two bottles of spirits, or 12 wines in one transaction.
The temporary measures were put in place on March 31 to prevent panic purchasing as well as curb excessive drinking.
The bottle shops taking part in the voluntary initiative included Dan Murphy’s, BWS, Vintage Cellars, First Choice, Cellarbrations, IGA Liquor, Aldi, Liquorland, Thirsty Camel, Liquor Legends, Jimmy Brings, Urban Cellars, Liquor Stax, and more.
The WA Government’s alcohol restrictions in Western Australia will remain in place, however, they are currently under review.
