Will the real Crumbl Cookies please stand up?
ICYMI, a Sydney couple went viral in September after hosting a questionable, non-affiliated Crumbl Cookies pop-up in Bondi, where guests queued for hours and forked out $17.50 for days-old cookies, shipped in from the US.
Technically legal. Ethically dubious. And bold enough, apparently, to get the attention of the real Crumbl team who announced yesterday that its secret plans to expand into Australia have been fast-tracked.
“The team at Crumbl has been amazed by the support of fans in Australia over recent weeks. Crumbl has been inspired to accelerate plans to provide all dessert-loving Aussies, with a true Crumbl experience.”

The statement also introduced a new (official) Instagram account @crumbl.au and the ribbing has started strong, with a Story reading, “We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pay Australia a visit… for research purposes. No stale cookies in tow.” Nice.
Crumbl CEO Jason McGowan touched down in Sydney to inspect potential sites and to start the ball rolling on the Australian expansion.
No official opening dates or locations are known yet but keep an eye on the Crumbl Australia Instagram for updates.
That said, there’s a heap of Aussie cookie stores you can also visit – and are open right now.
