The iced confection combines one of Messina’s most popular gelato flavours, Have a Gay Old Time, with the resplendently ruffled ice cream cake the Viennetta.

The ultra-luxe limited-edition dessert is made from layers of caramel and milk gelato smashed with chocolate cookie crumbs and topped with ripples of vanilla and caramel chantilly cream.

The dreamy dessert is priced at $40 for a 1-litre carton.
