Get your moves ready.

Oxford Street is slowly but surely getting its groove back. Joining natty wine bar Paski Vineria Popolare and soon-to-open Mexican bar El Primo Sanchez will be Kissuu, a two-storey Japanese party bar, serving up dinner and disco six nights a week.

Kick off your evening in the 40-seat restaurant downstairs. Co-owner and head chef Adam Burke (formerly Nobu London and Toko Dubai) has put together a sharing menu that’s perfect for groups that includes tempura Balmain bug lettuce cups, prawn and scallop gyozas and tuna tacos with wasabi oil. For Nobu fans, they’ll be doing a take on its signature dish, miso-glazed toothfish with daikon, straight off the robata grill. Adam Burke said: “My unique style draws inspiration from my extensive travels around the world and my Burmese heritage to create Japanese dishes that celebrate local, seasonal and native ingredients.”

But first, get the party started with a cocktail. There’ll be a selection of party margs alongside spirits, beers and wine. Kissuu, which translates to “lucky numbers” in Japanese will also serve up “lucky” cocktails, which come with a game of fortune on the side.

When you’re ready, head upstairs to the lounge and bar area where a DJ booth will keep the party going until late. Co-owner and DJ Richy Penny will curate the live music line-up. The playlist will include funky edits of Diana Ross, Gibson Brothers and Candi Station á la Studio 54.  Penny said: “We are going to have our guests shifting in their seats, then as the night goes on, the volume will go up and the dance floor will come to life!”

The final destination for your big night out will be the Party House, a futuristic room kitted out with neon lighting, plush orange lounges and moveable tables that can be cleared to create a D-floor. The DJ booth has been styled like a disco ball, with a mirrored back wall that captured and reflects the glowing lights. “The intimate space makes it feel like you’re at the most epic house party with 100 of your closest friends and with our international connections, depending on who is in town, you never know who you could catch playing,” Penny adds.

In the coming weeks, the party planner will be expanded to include brunch parties and special events so you’d better clear the schedule now.
