To celebrate the arrival of Despicable Me 4 Macca’s is bringing back three of its cult desserts that even the most discerning Minion can’t resist. 

The banana thickshake, banana caramel pie, and banana caramel McFlurry – available with vanilla or chocolate soft serve – will land in stores today, June 12.

A Despicable Me-themed Happy Meal will also feature on the limited-run menu, with 12 Minion toys to collect.

The banana treats last appeared on Macca’s menus in 2020, when they became an instant hit with customers. Senior brand manager for McDonald’s Australia, Nichole Tsiros said, “We’re so excited to collaborate with Illumination’s Despicable Me franchise for what is certain to be one of the biggest blockbuster movies of the year. 

“Since they first appeared in 2010s Despicable Me, the Minions have become global icons, infiltrating pop culture in a meaningful way.”

McDonald’s Despicable Me desserts are available now for a limited time. Despicable Me 4 will premiere in Australia on July 20.
