Every cloud has a silver lining, or in this case, a powdered vitamin C rim.

Those in self-isolation in the US are keeping their spirits high with a new cocktail called the quarantini.

The concoction was first uploaded to Twitter on the weekend, with the post showing a martini made from gin and Emergen-C, a powdered vitamin C supplement similar to Berocca.

Emergen-C has advised against mixing their vitamins with alcohol, which seems like pretty sound advice.

The quarantini has since evolved to include gin or vodka with honey, fresh citrus fruit and an optional ginger garnish and it must be drunk at home alone. Some people are also serving it on a square of toilet paper as opposed to a coaster.
