Cancel your afternoon meetings, the long lunch is back
If you’ve already used up your Dine & Discover vouchers, you’ll be pleased to learn the NSW Government is dishing out a whole new round of $100 vouchers and this time they can be spent all at once.
500,000 Sydney residents will be eligible for the new vouchers, which can only be used for Friday lunch in the Sydney CBD.
“Friday is a fun day — we have listened to businesses and industry and want to kickstart the weekend,” NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said.
“We want people to come in, enjoy what our city has to offer, spend a little extra on retail and services businesses, and in the process create jobs and stimulate the economy.
“It’s about making Fridays fantastic (and) helping the Sydney CBD, which has been hardest hit by the challenges of COVID.”
The vouchers will be available as four x $25 vouchers, but unlike Dine & Discover, they can also be used all at once. Once again, the vouchers will be available via the Service NSW app.
The $50 million measure is set to be included in next week’s budget.
