It’s the mudcake mash-up you’ve been waiting for. Woolworths has just launched a new Caramelised White Chocolate Mudcake, inspired by the cult-favourite Cadbury Caramilk block.

It’s not the first time the supermarket giant has gone rogue with its mudcake recipe. In previous years, the bakery team has experimented with a choc orange, choc mint and cookies & cream version, all of which sent mudcake fans into a meltdown.

The staffroom staple is the subject of a number of online baking hacks, with many using the simple slab as a starting point for elaborate cake creations. Woolworths Bakery Merchandise Manager Donald Keith said in a statement: “Woolworths customers regularly tell us how much they love our mudcakes, so we’re excited to roll out our latest creation from the bakery.

“This is a limited-edition mudcake and while supplies last, so we encourage customers and mudcake fanatics to grab one while they’re available.”

The Woolworths Caramelised White Chocolate Mudcake is priced at $5.80 and is available to purchase in-store (not online).
