The Darlinghurst spritz and cocktail bar will pour its last drink at the end of this month.

After five years of pouring cocktails and tipples on Sydney’s Oxford St, This Must Be the Place bar has announced it will be shutting up shop.

Owner Luke Ashton revealed via Instagram that the lease for the premises is set to expire at the end of the month and the decision has been made not to renew it.

“This has been a tough decision to make because we are so blessed and proud of the friends and community that has built up around TMBTP, we are certainly going to miss you all,” the post says.

The bar’s final day of service will take place on Sunday, October 20.
