Say cheers to charity with some of music's biggest stars.

Leave the Big Red Car at home, folks, because the Wiggles are playing a gig this weekend at everyone’s favourite den in good times, Ramblin’ Rascals.

Playing under the pseudonym The Unusual Commoners, the Wiggles line-up will be led by new and OG blue Wiggles Lucia and Anthony, alongside purple Wiggle Lachy, purple Wiggle John, and yellow Wiggle Tsehay.

Proceeds from the night will be donated to an orphanage in Ethiopia, where Tsehay Wiggle will be visiting next month.

The cause is especially close to Tsehay Wiggle’s heart. An Australian family adopted the Ethiopia-born 18-year-old singer and dancer who has now cemented herself as an Aussie Icon.

The Unusual Commoners is a side project led by Anthony and Lachy Wiggle that pays tribute to folk and Celtic music. There’s every chance that you might hear some familiar Wiggles tunes on the night but expect a banjo and an Irish accent.

Entry to the gig is free but the band will be asking for donations at the door so dip deep to help the kids and see some of the best in the biz’ do their thing.

The Unusual Commoners will kick off at 9pm on Friday, September 6 at Ramblin’ Rascal. Find the bar at Basement/60 Park St, Sydney (entry via Elizabeth Street).
