Darling Harbour is one of Sydney’s biggest drawcards. The entertainment precinct is overflowing with eateries and drinking dens but, despite a growing population of boats in dock, it wasn’t home to a yacht club. That was until now with the reveal of the new Helm Bar. The iconic waterside space has been given a ‘yacht club’ revamp by award-winning interior designer Luchetti krelle. Coastal vibes flow throughout the space that features plenty of wooden furniture, white and teak furnishings, and varying shades of blue, all inspired by the riviera. To accompany the new look will be a new look menu, with seafood dishes forming the bulk. To further entice guests, The Helm will also be offering guests wine-themed dinners, bottomless afternoon bubbles and roaming oyster shuckers. “With a world-class harbour on the Sydney’s doorstep, we were inspired to recreate the fun, frivolity and leisure of the yacht clubs of the Med, in our Harbour City,” says owner Peter Wadsworth of the venue’s new face.
