Bill's Surry Hills is on the move

Bill Granger

But don't worry, it's not going far.

Bill Granger’s café Bill’s is a concept so beloved it’s proven a bit of a global institution. After firmly establishing itself in the heart of Sydneysiders, the venue moved beyond New South Wales’ borders, expanding the breakfast empire into both London and Tokyo.

But of all of Bill’s cafés, the Surry Hills location may be the best known. Settled on a Crown Street corner, the breakfast favourite is a hub of activity from the early hours right through the evening and has been so since it opened in 1996.

But time’s are changing and with it will be Bill’s Surry Hills. The venue has confirmed that it will shortly move locations – but it really isn’t going far. Bill’s will be moving into the former Marque site this August, a space just a few doors down.

We have no doubt that this new Bill’s will be just as design-savvy as its predecessors, with long-time collaborators Meacham Nockles confirmed to be in charge of styling the space. In summary, it’s the same style, same hotcakes, just a new face.
