This is one for the tiramisu lovers.

Getting your hands on a slice of Flybee Tiramisu is no easy feat. Just once a week, on a Thursday, at Chatswood Markets, this tiramisu stall opens to a long line of eagerly waiting customers. They come in hordes and within an hour the large trays of tiramisu are usually empty.

So, what makes Flybee Tiramisu so good? It’s Asian-style tiramisu, which means it’s not too sweet and light and fluffy. You won’t find a decadently rich espresso-soaked tiramisu here. There are also three different flavours. The original flavour is your stock-standard coffee-flavoured tiramisu, which also has a non-alcoholic version for kids, and costs about $9.90 a slice.

The other two flavours Flybee Tiramisu serve is matcha and probably the most popular, durian, which doesn’t come cheap. Flybee’s durian-flavoured tiramisu costs $18.80 per slice, but durian is on the pricier side and the slice is packed with the fruit so the hefty price tag can be justified, not that it deters crowds.

Thankfully, you have two chances to beat the crowds and get your hands on a slice of Flybee tiramisu. The food stall opens for its first service of the day at 11am and then its second shift at 5pm, but we recommend getting there about 30 minutes before it opens to get a spot at the front of the line.
