Gelato masterminds have our Tuesday treats sorted with the offer of a $1 tub of today’s Messina special.

The flavour and accompanying deal is an ode to the Messina fan. Over New Year’s the Fitzroy outlet from the brand received a voicemail from a woman who claimed she was breaking up with them because it wasn’t open. Perhaps in an effort to win her back, or at least celebrate her dedicated to dessert, Messina have crafted special ‘voicemail’ – a salted-caramel gelato with baked cheesecake, candied macadamia nuts and hazelnut fudge.

A $1 tub will be made available to those in Sydney and Melbourne via deliveroo during the hours of 3-5pm today only, with all purchases to be made by 3pm. To order, type in your delivery address and wait to see if the ‘MESSINA VOICEMAIL STORE’ option appears.  If you are unable to see it, that unfortunately means you live out of the catchment or it has sold out. But if you can see it, click through and purchase your special tub for $1. At least those who miss out will be able to console themselves with a taste of the special, which will land in stores from 5pm this evening.
