It’s famous for its fresh milk and golden honey pearls.
One of world’s largest bubble tea chains has made the bounce from Taiwan to Australia, opening its first Aussie boba shop on Elizabeth Street in Melbourne.
The global chain, which operates 340 stores worldwide, is renowned for its use of fresh dairy milk as opposed to the widely used lactose-free creamer, and its shiny golden pearls made from tapioca cooked in honey.
To give the tea its rich, creamy flavour, Milksha in Melbourne source its milk from award-winning micro-dairy St David’s Dairy in Fitzroy.

The menu includes fresh milk teas alongside tea lattes, infused with jasmine, earl grey, Japanese matcha, barley and roasted oolong leaves. Alongside the golden pearls, customers can also get their drink spiked with milk pudding, red beans and herbal jelly, before sucking them up a big, fat straw.
If you need a good reason to make the switch from your usual bubble tea provider, Milksha only use biodegradable bamboo straws, as well as recyclable paper bags and cup holders.
